Frank, an accomplished visual artist across a broad range of media, originally studied dance under Martha Graham between 1945 and 1950. Frank added ceramic sculptural work to her practice in the early 1970s. Working in three dimensions informs landscape work as seen in the present monoprint. With fifty years a practicing artist, Frank has been celebrated with many awards and fellowships. She has also shared her talent by art teaching at Bard College.
