GAHAN WILSON Animation cel for Time Magazine. This is a very scarce hand inked and painted animation cel used in a Time Magazine commercial, c. 1973.
The commercial was designed by Gahan Wilson (in what may have been his first foray into animation), and produced at the Manhattan-based Phil Kimmelman and Associates (best known for producing the original Schoolhouse Rock series). The setup consists of a single vibrantly painted Oxberry-punched cel over a white cardstock background. This cel radiates with Gahan Wilson's design sensibility and humor-- and it appears to be the only example from this small production to have ever surfaced.
Condition: Cel setup has minor wear and paint is intact. Some tape residue on the setup.
