Additional Details

The figure in the white frock coat in images #1, #2, and #3 is believed to be Mathew Brady. In the last image, which shows the gallows at the Old Arsenal Prison, the hanging has just finished and spectators are starting to leave. The hanged conspirators are (from the left): Mary Surratt, Lewis Powell, David Herold, and George Atzerodt.
