Additional Details

An interesting relic of Marcus Garvey's Universal Negro Improvement Association. A great deal of the success of Garvey's movement came from its promise to care for its members and their needs. In addition to a complex economic plan that would employ Negroes world-wide and connect them all with mother Africa, Garvey had envisioned a vast "pool" of life insurance beneficiaries.
