Group of 3 tokens from San Francisco's annual Gay Freedom Day parade. Aluminum(?) tokens, 40 mm; 1½ inches; minimal wear.
These tokens, with similar but not identical designs, were handed out by businesses participating in the parade. One side gives the parade name and date, and the other side advertises the business. Two were issued by Bulldog Baths (renowned as the nation's largest gay bathhouse) on 24 June 1979 and 29 June 1980. The other was issued by Dick Collier's Trocadero Transfer, reigning winner of "Most Outrageous Float," on 29 June 1980.
