A Romanian artist who specialized in paintng and frescos, Chirovici was best known for his religious imagery. He was a co-founder of the Romanian Artist's League. Carmen Sylva was a resort town on the Black Sea in the Dobrogea region which took its name, in 1928, from the Queen consort of Romania, who used Carmen Sylva as her literary pseudonym. It is currently known as Eforie Sud. Techirghiol is a nearby lake, whose mud is known for its curative properties. This delightful Art Deco image is the artist's only known poster. rare
