Gouache, watercolor, pen and ink and ink wash on paper, 1930. 462x600 mm; 18 1/4x23 5/8 inches. Signed and dated in ink and signed and dedicated "To Bernard and Becky with love from George May 50" in pencil, lower right recto.

Ex-collection Bernard and Becky Reis, the artist's accountant, acquired directly from the artist, 1950; Manny Silvermann Gallery, New York, with the label on the frame back; Forum Gallery, New York, with the label on the frame back; Achim Moeller Fine Art, New York, with the label on the frame back; private collection, England, 1999; sold Christie's, London, February 8, 2007, sale 7356, lot 665; purchased from the above by the current owner.
