THE ARTIST'S FIRST PRINT GEORGES BRAQUE
Étude de nu.

Etching on cream laid Auvergne paper, 1907-8. 275x197 mm; 107/8x73/4 inches, wide margins. Signed and numbered 11/25 in pencil, lower margin. Printed by Visat, Paris. Published by Maeght, Paris. A superb, richly-inked impression of this scarce, early print.

After a first printing of only several trial proofs in 1907-8, Maeght published an edition of 25 impressions on Auvergne and 30 impressions on Rives in 1953. Vallier 1.
