Based on the artist's color lithograph, Oiseaux, 1963, which was issued both as a limited edition of 75 signed and numbered impressions as well as a standard poster edition for the exhibition, "Les bijoux de Braque," Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, March-April, 1963. This larger version of the subject was likely also used for promotion of the exhibition throughout Paris. cf. Vallier 184.
