Etching and drypoint on cream wove Montval paper, 1912. 345x210 mm; 13 5/8x8 1/4 inches, full margins. An hors commerce impression, aside from the edition of 50. Signed and inscribed "H.C." in pencil, lower margin. Montval watermark. A superb, early proof impression of this very scarce etching, with sharp, unbeveled plate marks and warm plate tone.
Likely one of the few proofs printed before 1950 and the edition of 50 published by Maeght, Paris. Vallier 11.
