GEORGES BRAQUE
Nu allongé.

Etching on smooth, cream wove paper, 1934. 180x300 mm; 7 1/8x12 inches, full margins. First state (of 2), before the reduction of the plate, with the remarqués on the right edge. Signed in pencil, lower right. A brilliant, early impression of this extremely scarce proof, with crisp, inky plate edges.

This print appeared in an edition of 50, with the plate reduced to omit the remarqués on the right edge, in the deluxe edition of Georges Braque by Carl Einstein.

Vallier notes another impression with remarqués, page 66. We have not found another impression with remarqués at auction in the past 20 years. Vallier 25.
