Kugelmann-Benda, artist and scene decorator, was the grandson of George Kugelmann, the founder of Imprimerie Kugelmann. His press was known for being the printer of the French newspapers Le Gaulois and Le Figaro, as well as other important weekly and daily publications. Kugelmann-Benda followed in his grandfather's creative footsteps, with this playful image of Mistinguett being his most famous poster.
