Privat-Livemont (1861–1936) was a Belle Époque artist born in Brussels. He is best known for his Art Nouveau posters, among the most iconic of which are his designs for Absinthe Robette and for the Casino de Cabourg. From 1883 to 1889, he worked and studied in the Parisian studios of Lemaire, Lavastre and Duvignaud. Along with Lemaire, Privat-Livemont created the decor of the Theatre Français as well as the Hôtel de Ville, Paris. Toward the end of his career, he returned to Brussels, and worked on theaters and casinos there, and designed the 1897 poster for the Brussels International Exposition.
