In terms of posters, Savitzky was best known for his TASS window designs in the early 1940s. He won various awards in Russia for his political posters and caricatures, but was also a celebrated painter (taking after his artist father), exhibiting realist military, genre and animal scenes. Here, he turns his skills towards promoting the USSR as a tourist destination. This is the English version. Intourist pl 35 (var).
