Etching, circa 1647. 260x198 mm; 10 1/4x7 3/4 inches, wide margins. Lily over three mounds in a double circle with the letters A and N watermark (Heawood 1622, which dates to the mid-1600s). A superb, dark impression of this extremely scarce etching with very strong contrasts.
With--Rachel Concealing Laban's Idols, etching, circa 1635-40. 257x337 mm; 9 1/2x13 1/2 inches, wide margins. Second state (of 4). Lily over three mounds watermark (cf. Mannocci 12, which he dates from the 1640s). Ex-collection Colnaghi, London, with their inventory number in pencil, verso. A very good impression. Bartsch 11 and 4; Percy 6 and 3.
