Dedicated to the then ruling Pope Clement XIV, who died in September 1774. In Piranesi's Catalogo inciso from 1774, it is mentioned as being included in the Vedute di Roma. However, the numbers in the 4 columns of indices in the plan refer to the main sites illustrated in the Antichità Romane. Focillon 600; Wilton-Ely 1008.
