We have found only 3 other impressions at auction in the past 30 years.
Unlike many of Giovanni D. Tiepolo's etchings, which were derived from paintings by his father, G. B. Tiepolo (1696-1770, see lots 171-176), this etching was concerned solely by G .D. Tiepolo. There is a preparatory drawing for the etching in the National Museum, Warsaw. DeVesme 30; Rizzi 57.
