Condition B+: losses and replaced losses in margins; repaired tears, minor creases and abrasions in margins and image and along vertical and horizontal folds; slight offsetting in text and image; linen trimmed to poster; ink and paper stamps in top left; ink stamp in top left corner; three-sheets. Mounted on Chartex.

Mataloni became a lithographic apprentice at Milan's famed Ricordi Studio in 1891. Throughout his career, Mataloni worked with different publishers, printers and magazines (for whom he did illustrations, covers and advertising). Here, he promotes a Costume Ball in Rome's Teatro dell'Opera (known as the Teatro Costanzi until 1926) for the International Artistic Association, whose initials appear on the woman's elaborate, colorful dress.
