Engraving, circa 1500-05. 540x83 mm; 21 3/8x3 3/8 inches, narrow to thread margins. A very good impression of this extremely scarce, early engraving, with strong contrasts and no sign of wear.
This is from a series of 12 engraved panels that are based on designs by Giovanni Pietro da Birago (1470-1513), with some engraved by Birago himself, as well as Zoan Andrea (1460-1523) and Giovanni Antonio da Brescia (active 1490-1519). Bartsch 26; Hind 6.
