Chiaroscuro woodcut printed in brown, reddish tan and black on cream laid paper, circa 1530. 301x416 mm; 12x16 1/2 inches, small margins. Second state (of 2), with Andreani's address lower right. A superb, richly-inked impression of this very scarce woodcut, with strong colors and with the relief from the wood blocks distinct on the verso.
Rossigliani's (1503-after 1560) woodcut is based on a drawing by Parmigianino (1503-1540) now in the Devonshire Collection, Chatsworth. Bartsch 15.
