Infused with regal pomp, members of the Queen's Life Guard (drawn from the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment) are riding down the Mall past the Victoria Memorial and Buckingham Palace. Queen Elizabeth ascended to the throne in 1953 upon the death of her father, King George VI. Variants of this poster say "In Coronation Year" or "Travel By Train" in place of "See Britain By Rail."
