Folio, 318x204 mm, contemporary blind-tooled calf over wooden boards, concentric historiated rolls (Golden Calf/Isaac/Jacob/Moses and Salvator/Paulus/Petrus dated 1540) enclosing gilt panel stamp of St. Paul with title at top and date 1553 at bottom on front cover, center panel of roll tools (Salvator/Paulus/Petrus and Aeneas/Penelope/Achilles/Hector/Helena dated 1542) on rear cover with owner's name at top ("D[omini] Pauli Sarb Posnanien[sis] Or[dinis] Pre[dicatorum]"), brass catches, lacks clasps, chain attachment at top of front cover, missing from rear cover, top of spine chipped; minor worming on endpapers, light dampstaining in lower portion of opening leaves, contents otherwise clean.
