The first letter, a postcard, in English and French: "Cher Léo: Thanks for your letter & the cheque--Love to you both, avec l'expression de mes meilleurs sentiments, George Grosz," written on verso of reproduction of Lèger's Yellow Flowers in a Blue Vase (1950). 1 page, 12mo; some abrasions to reproduction. The second letter, declining an invitation and mentioning the sale of artworks to Wisconsin artist Marshall Glasier. 1 page, 4to, personal stationery; horizontal fold. With the original envelope.
