Provenance: Gift of the Photographer; to the fashion model Iris Bianchi, New York. Bianchi had an unusually long career, appearing frequently in magazines from the mid-1950s until the end of the 1960s. She began modeling around 1953, and appeared on the covers of many magazines, including Mademoiselle, McCall's, Charm, Seventeen, Vogue, and Harper's Bazaar. After her modeling career, Bianchi worked for many years as a stylist for advertising campaigns for companies such as Revlon, and L'Oréal; as a filmmaker; and later resumed her work as a figurative painter.
