Additional Details

Inscribed and signed with their Gemini mission(s) by Gordon Cooper and Tom Stafford on the upper chamber housing.
Pitch, roll, and yaw spacecraft torques were obtained by firing these engines during flight or reentry. A redundant group of 8 bi-propellant SE-6 engines (16 total) were located at the "nose section" of the Gemini spacecraft which comprised the Reentry Control System (RCS). Four additional pairs (8 total) of these engines were located in the Adapter Module equipment section at the rear of the spacecraft. Other engine components of the SE-6 engine are an injection system, the combustion chamber, and expansion nozzle.
