Gerson, Johannes (1363-1429)
De Pollutione Nocturna.

[Cologne: Ulrich Zel, about 1467-1472].

Second edition, octavo, text printed in a single column in gothic type, initials added by hand in red, along with paragraph marks; chapter headings underlined in red; bound in later full calf, rebacked, ownership stamp with initials J.M.M to ffep and colophon leaf; 15 leaves of 16, lacking the final blank, contents good; older stamp removed from first leaf of text, 8 1/4 x 5 3/8 in.

Gerson's short work addresses nocturnal emissions, and their possible impingement on the soul. In particular, would a priest who had the experience overnight be spiritually clean enough to deliver mass the following morning.
