12mo, added engraved title page; illustrated with three full-paged plates; printed in red and black throughout; with extensive contemporary manuscript notes; "Ex donis Decusey [Curé] d'Achey, mihi Marcel," and printed book label of M. Marcel, Prêtre à l'hopital de Champlitte; this small hospital was set up in 1750 by donors to support locals left impoverished and starving after the Ten Years' War; beautifully bound in very nicely preserved full French red morocco ornately tooled in gilt with all edges gilt; lacking the endband at the tail of the spine without any damage to the endcap; the whole in remarkably good condition; 6 x 3 1/2 in.
