Gray's Anatomy Illustrations, Archive, 1950s. A large group of approximately fifty camera-ready illustrations, some original drawings, others printed with hand-retouching, some overlaid with transparencies bearing hand-drawing in red, including some signed by Don Alvarado, including three original drawings signed by medical illustrator Robert Wabnitz (1925-2008), who drew all tissue drawings for the 1954 edition of Gray's Anatomy; a group of sixteen hand-drawn initials created for sections in the book depicting anatomical subjects and small portraits of medical pioneers, and a variety of depictions of the brain, vascular system and others, most from the twenty-seventh 100th Anniversary edition from 1959; sizes and condition vary.
