Octavo format manuscript in Greek on laid paper, circa 1739, consisting of approximately 100 pages, comprising several short tracts, all in a neat secretarial hand in brown and purple inks; ex libris Frederic North, 5th Earl of Guilford (1766-1827) with his armorial bookplate pasted inside front board; ex libris Sir Thomas Phillipps (1792-1872), marked "7761 Ph" in pencil; according to the 1830 auction record this work is a Greek handbook on the teachings of the Bohemian and Moravian church, including Neophytus of Constantinople; North catalogue number 357, sold as part of lot 549 in 1830 and again in the June 26, 1967 Sotheby's sale as part of lot 627; bound in older half calf with plain paper boards; 6 1/2 x 4 1/2 in.
