Géo Bernier was a Belgian painter. We believe this to be the only poster he designed. The image advertises a beef extract company. Bernier's depiction of a bull, triumphant in battle against a lion, is spectacular in theme, color and size. For a painter, his poster shows an exceptional understanding of graphic design, including the outline (reminiscent of Privat Livemont, another Belgian designer, who incidentally did work for the same printer in Brussels) surrounding the bull. Although Cibils advertised extensively through trade cards, this is the only poster the company ever produced.
