Hongell, a Finnish designer, is primarily remembered for his work with glass, but he designed a small handful of posters as well. Most recognized among these is a harbor scene of Helsinki, promoting travel to Finland. This striking, graceful, minimalist image is for an arts and crafts exhibition. Too early to be considerer Mid-Century Modern, the design bespeaks the tenets of the Bauhaus. rare.
