Egidio Marzona is a German-Italian collector who has assembled the world's foremost collection of works on paper documenting the revolutionary efforts of the Bauhaus. He is also a well-known publisher who founded Edition Marzona in 1972 which focuses on art movements and figures of the 20th-century avant-garde.
This image was used as the cover image of the German edition of Bauhaus Photography, (The MIT Press; First English language edition, 1985) constituting the most comprehensive photographic archive at that time.
