Second edition of the French translation first published the same year of the first part of Halley's 1749 Astronomical Tables, showing lunar positions; the second part of the French version, edited by Lalande, appeared in 1759. "The tables of the moon represent Newton's lunar theory as he presented it in the second edition of the Principia" (ODNB).
