Butler, relating that he is to remain until the yellow fever subsides, noting that he hopes to establish his headquarters on the railroad, and expecting to be ordered to New Orleans. With a postscript additionally Signed, "W.S.H," promising to thank him in person if he visits his parish. 2 pages, 8vo, written on a folded sheet, ruled paper; minor scattered dampstaining and ink burn.
