This work was created for the "AdoRnmenTs" exhibition at Bernice Steinbaum Gallery, New York. For the exhibition, 81 artists and architects contributed a piece of wearable art or jewelry, including Nancy Fried, Howardena Pindell, Faith Ringgold, Miriam Schapiro, and Jaune Quick-To-See Smith. It toured throughout the United States, at the Muscarelle Museum of Art, College of William and Mary, Williamsburg; Prichard Gallery, University of Idaho, Moscow, Idaho; Amarillo Art Center, Amarillo, Texas; Tampa Museum; Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Hunter Museum of Art, Chattanooga; and Lamont Gallery, Phillips Exeter Academy, Exeter, New Hampshire.
