In 1923, Nord-Europa-Union and Trans-Europa-Union joined an affiliation of small airline companies that were supported by the Junkers Aircraft company in Germany. Combined, they serviced the Baltics, Scandinavia and Northern Europe. In 1926, the two companies were merged with sixteen other airlines in the consortium to become Deutsche Lufthansa. This image also exists as a post card with a slight text variation and was used on the cover of an airline timetable. Pictured is the Junkers F1 3.
