"The two companion posters refer to the recent war, with similar sets of travelers: in War Guardsmen wear khaki and a group in military garb marches through the station; in Peace, soldiers appear in their red dress uniforms where the Guardsmen stood, and a group of girls, attired for school in skirts and white shirts, appear in the place of military figures" (Art for All p. 112).
