Condition B+: repaired tears in margins and along vertical and horizontal folds. Considered to be the father of Modern Dutch Architecture, Berlage's teachings influenced the work of De Stijl and other Modernist groups. He is only known to have designed one other poster. This early travel poster, is an extraordinary document: with its decorative Art Nouveau border, image of a locomotive, train maps of Europe, views of Amsterdam and London, a steam ship, plans of train stations and even a route map of travel from Chicago to Vienna!
