This print is enclosed in its exhibition case and was exhibited in the group show entitled "Five French Photographers" at the MoMA between December 18, 1951 and February 24, 1952. The full title of the photograph reads as follows: "Market in Shiek el Gournah, village in Thebes across the Nile from Luxor, a great part of population lives in ancient tombs."
