Lithograph on Chine volant, 1922. 405x435 mm; 16x17 1/8 inches, full margins. Signed and numbered 17/50 in ink, lower left. A very good, evenly-printed impression of this scarce lithograph with strong contrasts. Matisse employed this subject in a 1938 linoleum cut too. Both this lithograph and the linoleum cut date back to his Fauve La Sieste, oil, circa 1905, now in a private Swiss collection. Duthuit 427.
