Rivière gained wide recognition as the man who invented, and directed, the shadow theatre at the Chat Noir. He was also well known for his exquisitely outlined light-toned landscapes that were published in albums, such as 36 vues de la Tour Eiffel, La Seine and La beau pays de Bretagne. This calendar promotes Rivière's new album les Aspects de la Nature.
