Raleigh's early posters display a maturity of design style that belie his age. His use of flat planes of color, combined with single-colored areas of texture, suggested familiarity with the work of Edward Penfield and Maxfield Parrish. His engaging compositions are still lifes with solitude that reflect peaceful, contemplative tableaux. rare, previously unrecorded.
