Tripp was more than just an artist who designed posters for London Transport and several of the British Railway Companies; he was also a policeman, a London city planner, a member of the Ministry of Transport Committee on Road Safety and a keen yachtsman. In addition to images for the British rail companies, he also designed posters for the London Transport system. Furness Vol. 7, p. 36.
