Leupin went on to become one of the most prolific of the Swiss poster artists. Like his French counterpart Raymond Savignac, he designed posters around a system of "visual gags." As a younger artist, Leupin was a devotee of the new trend in Swiss graphic design: the new objectivity. This realistic depiction of soap highlights Leupin's skill as a draughtsman to which he adds a virtuoso flourish in the forms of the little drops of water.
