A student of Keller in Zurich, Eidenbenz worked both in Germany and Switzerland, opening a studio with his brother in Basel in 1932. One of the key artists who established the foundations of contemporary Swiss graphic design, Eidenbenz was extremely influential as a pioneer in the field of photography applied to advertising. Here, for a graphic show at the Decorative Art Museum in Zurich, Eidenbenz shows his true mastery of design by presenting an eye with rays of colors, representing all the various aspects of graphic design listed on the left.
