Herry Perry, also known as Heather Perry, was one of the most prolific female poster artists of the period. In addition to poster design "she also worked as a book illustrator and designer of playing cards and pub signs" (London Transport p. 144). She primarily designed posters for London Transport and the Underground.

This small format poster is known as a "panel poster" or "window sticker," as it was meant to be displayed on the window dividers in the train cars. They were "produced for display in Underground car interiors, as well as on the inside and outside of buses and trams. Because they did not have to fit a standard frame or wall space, they are smaller than other poster formats and vary slightly in size."
