JUDAICA HERZL, THEODORE. Autograph Letter Signed, "Herzl," to an unnamed recipient, in German, concerning a meeting of a special committee, writing that he could not bring the board to a decision but that a final judgment will be made by Nissan Katzenelson and Gregorie Lourie in a few days. 1 page, single 8vo sheet, Die Welt stationery; minor fading to a few words; framed with an engraving of Herzl by Hermann Struck. Vienna, 29 May 1900

Additional Details

Written during a special meeting of the Larger Action Committee held in Vienna, just a few months prior to the Fourth Zionist Congress in London. Presumably, the issue at hand concerned the Jewish Colonial Trust, as Katzenelson served as its Director and Lourie on the board.
