Hinds was an American artist who taught at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston in the 1890s. Two larger sketchbooks document her visit to Italy in 1886; one is signed and dated by her on the front pastedown. A third small sketchbook shows scenes from a 1901 visit to Holland, France, and England.
