A select group of 6 photographs of immigrants at Ellis Island. Silver contact prints, 6 3/4x4 3/4 inches (17.1x12.1 cm.), and slightly smaller, and the reverse, each with a Hine Photo Company, Yonkers, N.Y. hand stamp and numeric notations, in pencil and in ink, on verso. 1905-12

with--A pair of uncredited photographs, the first depicting a teacher and students (in front of the Ethical Culture School?), and the second a boudoir card of Ellis Island from afar. Silver prints, 3x5 1/4 and 4 1/2x7 1/2 inches (7.6x13.3 and 11.4x19.1 cm.); the second is mounted. Circa 1905.

From the Estate of Susan H. Clay, who worked for the King Library Press at the University of Kentucky, and mounted a show of Lewis Hine's photographs at the Skydome Gallery.
