Hand-tinted albumen print, the image measuring 6 1/4 inches (15.9 cm.) square, the mount 12 1/2x9 inches (31.7x22.9 cm.), with two small labels with notations, in ink, and another notation "Kéloïde," also in ink, on mount recto. Circa 1900

Additional Details

Morestin was a French surgeon and associate professor of anatomy at the University of Paris. He was one of the founders of cosmetic surgery and is known particularly for his advances in facial reconstruction surgery during WWI.
